Tenant's Son Sold Drugs from Apartment

LVT Number: 10759

Landlord sued to evict tenants after their son was arrested in the apartment and large amounts of firearms, crack cocaine, and cash were confiscated. The son was convicted of drug-dealing and sent to prison. Tenants claimed that they had been away for a few months and didn't know that their son used their apartment for drug activity. The court ruled for landlord. Tenants had no proof of their claim of ignorance and weren't totally believable. In any event, they had a responsibility to landlord and their neighbors to prevent illegal activity in their apartment.
