Landlord Had Notice of Conditions

LVT Number: 11324

Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant based on a number of conditions, including defects in the front and rear doors. The DRA reduced tenant's rent. Landlord appealed, claiming that the door defects found by the DRA weren't the conditions complained of. The DHCR ruled against landlord. Although tenant's complaint didn't clearly indicate which of the doors was defective, these conditions were reflected in copies of prior DHCR notices and other city agency and housing court proceedings, giving landlord sufficient prior adequate notice of the conditions.
