Termination Notice Sufficiently Described Tenant's Section 8 Status

LVT Number: #22478

Landlord sued to evict HUD-housing tenant for violating his lease by menacing other tenants. Tenant asked the court to dismiss the case. He claimed that landlord didn’t properly describe his Section 8 status in its court papers. The court ruled against tenant. The petition referred to and incorporated a lease termination notice, which sufficiently described the lease provisions and Section 8 rules that landlord claimed tenant violated. This gave tenant enough information to prepare a defense.
