Tenant Can't Get Second Apartment

LVT Number: 14052

Landlord sued to evict tenant from a second apartment in the building she had moved into. Under the rules of the Tenant Interim Lease Program, tenant and her family were required to move out of their original apartment in the building when they asked for, and were granted, a transfer to another apartment. But tenant's husband didn't move out of the first apartment. A single family wasn't allowed to maintain more than one apartment in the building because this prevented other low-income families from getting an apartment.
