Landlord Claims Tenant Violated Settlement Agreement

Landlord sued to evict tenant who rented apartment prior to condominium conversion. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court by which tenant agreed to pay back rent and to sign a one-year renewal lease at a higher rent. Landlord later sought eviction based on tenant's violation of the settlement agreement. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant refused to sign the renewal lease, in violation of the settlement agreement. So landlord was entitled to proceed with the eviction.
