Landlord Can Evict Tenant for Drug Activity

Landlord City of New York sued to evict month-to-month tenant for good cause, based on drug activity at the apartment. The court ruled for landlord after a trial. Tenant appealed and lost. Landlord proved that, using a search warrant, police discovered contraband, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and body armor in the apartment. Tenant later was convicted and sentenced to one year in jail for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
