UPS Worker Assaulted While Making Delivery

LVT Number: 8285

A UPS worker sued landlord after being assaulted in a housing project. The court ruled for landlord without trial, and worker appealed. The appeals court again ruled for landlord. Worker claimed a broken front-door lock had allowed his attacker to gain access to the building. But landlord had no notice of prior criminal activity at the building. And worker had no proof that the broken door lock had caused his attack.
