Two or Three Weekly Cleanings Not Enough

DOS issued a violation notice to landlord for not keeping the area in front of his building clean. Landlord claimed that he swept in front of the building. The ALJ found that landlord didn't make reasonable efforts to keep the area clean and fined landlord $50. Landlord appealed and lost. Landlord swept only two to three times a week. There was a large accumulation of matted debris in front of landlord's building. Clearly, this wasn't enough. Landlord must clean the area on a regular, daily basis.
