Termination Notice Didn't State Section 8 Status

LVT Number: 13501

Landlord sued to evict tenant. Tenant asked the court to dismiss the case because landlord didn't properly state the status of the apartment in the termination notice and petition, and didn't state the legal reasons for the eviction in the termination notice. The court ruled for tenant and dismissed the case. The termination notice and petition didn't state tenant's Section 8 status. The fact that landlord delivered a copy of the termination notice and petition to the NYCHA wasn't enough.
