Tenant's Request for Information Too Broad

Before trial, tenant sent landlord legal documents called subpoenas. The subpoenas requested extensive documentation at trial concerning building repairs and maintenance, as well as all records relating to maintenance and repair of the building roof and exterior. Landlord asked the court to rule that it didn't have to comply with tenant's demand for information and documentation.

The court ruled for landlord, finding that the demands were overbroad and vague and went far beyond a request for any specific identified documents.
