Tenant Claims Antique Table Damaged

LVT Number: 11170

Tenant complained of a reduction in services, claiming that an antique table in his apartment was damaged due to landlord's failure to repair the roof. The DRA ruled against tenant, and tenant appealed. The DHCR again ruled against tenant. Tenant's table wasn't a required service that landlord was required to provide under rent stabilization. Tenant must bring a court action if he wanted to pursue his claim against landlord for damage to the table.
