Replacement of Waste Compactor

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on the replacement of a waste compactor. The DRA ruled against landlord, and landlord appealed. Landlord showed that the waste compactor serviced an entire wing of the building. The DHCR ruled for landlord. In these circumstances, the DHCR permits an MCI rent increase for waste compactors.
