No Sign in Building Giving Location of Boiler Room Key

DEP issued a violation notice to landlord for not posting a sign indicating the location of the boiler room key. Landlord claimed that a sign was posted. The ALJ ruled against landlord because the sign was posted in the building's lobby, behind a locked door, and wasn't visible from the vestibule. Landlord was fined $265. Landlord appealed. ECB ruled against landlord. Since the sign wasn't visible, the boiler room wasn't ``readily accessible,'' as required by the applicable laws.
