New Key Card System Doesn't Reduce Services

LVT Number: #19798

Tenants complained of a reduction in building services. They said that landlord's new key system didn't allow key duplication and landlord refused to give extra keys to nonresident family members with a $25 fee per key. The DRA ruled against tenants. Tenants appealed and lost. Landlord had given tenants two new keys free of charge and reviewed requests for additional keys to enhance building security. If two free keys aren't enough because there are more than two apartment residents, tenants can file individual service reduction complaints.
