LVT Number: #20075

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on the installation of a new boiler/burner. The DRA ruled against landlord because landlord didn't submit a Certificate of Electrical Inspection from DOB. Landlord appealed and won. Landlord had submitted a letter in lieu of a Certificate of Electrical Inspection. The letter, from DOB, stated that the Certificate was issued on Jan. 21, 2005. This was acceptable proof that landlord had obtained the required governmental approval for the boiler/burner installation.
