Landlord Filed Application on Time

LVT Number: 15779

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes for rewiring. The DRA ruled against landlord, finding that its application wasn't filed within two years of completing the work. Landlord appealed, pointing out that the actual completion date was December 1998. The date stated on landlord's J-51 certificate was in error. The DHCR ruled for landlord. Landlord's application was filed in October 2000. So it was filed on time, and landlord was entitled to MCI rent increases.
