Increase Granted for New Elevator

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on elevator upgrading and other improvements. The DRA ruled for landlord, and tenants appealed, claiming that there were elevator problems. The DHCR ruled against tenants. With regard to the elevator, landlord installed a controller, brake, interlocks, and a cam. The installation was tested and inspected by the DOB, which found that it operated properly. Tenants submitted no proof to the contrary.
