LVT Number: 19337

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on pointing and waterproofing work. Landlord also sought rent hikes for engineer's fees and a sidewalk bridge used in connection with this work. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant objected to any rent increase for the engineer's fees. The DHCR said certain engineering or architectural expenses directly related to an MCI installation cost can be included in calculating the MCI rent hike.
