Illegal Drugs in Tenant's Apartment

LVT Number: 14845

Landlord sued to evict tenant for using her apartment to store, package, and sell illegal drugs. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant later asked the court to vacate the judgment. The court ruled against tenant. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant now denied knowledge of the drug activity in the apartment. She hadn't testified in court because she didn't want to incriminate herself in a related criminal case against her. But tenant was represented by an attorney and chose not to make any claims in her defense in the housing court case.
