Commercial Tenant Claims He Was Unlawfully Evicted from Residential Camper

LVT Number: #33175

Landlord sued to evict tenants from a commercially zoned unimproved lot that tenants used for commercial purposes. Tenants were evicted in February 2024, then one of them came back to court with an order to show cause, claiming that he lived in a camper located on the lot. The court ruled against tenant. The camper wasn't connected to any utilities, had no door, and was filled with and surrounded by car parts, debris, and scrap metal. The tenant was unable to show he had a license to be on the property or lived in a mobile home on the property, or had lawful occupancy.
