Tenant's Claims Decided in Prior Case

LVT Number: 18517

Former tenant sued landlord for money damages. He claimed that landlord had lied in a prior eviction case against him. He asked for $80,000 for personal property lost, and $1 million for landlord's having given false testimony that caused tenant to be arrested and evicted. Landlord asked the court to dismiss the case. The court ruled for landlord. The claims that tenant raised in this case were all raised and resolved in four prior court cases. Tenant can't retry the same issues when they'd already been decided against him and there was no appeal.
