Tenant Bound by Settlement Agreement

LVT Number: 19019

Landlord sued to evict tenant. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court. Tenant later asked the court to vacate the agreement. The court ruled against tenant. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant was represented by an attorney when he signed the agreement. Although the agreement turned out to be less favorable to tenant than originally thought, there was no proof that tenant was coerced into signing.
