LVT Number: #26683

Landlord sued to evict rent-stabilized tenant for nonprimary residence. Tenant asked the court to require landlord to provide her with copies of building video surveillance footage so that there would be no surprise at trial. She also asked that landlord pay for production of the video. The court ruled for tenant. Tenant’s request was tailored to discover relevant information. And landlord should pay the $1,200 cost of production of the video footage. Tenant was in her 80s, of limited means, and represented by MFY Legal Services.
