Landlord Gave up Right to Object to Tenant's Dog

LVT Number: 15584

Landlord sued to evict rent-controlled tenant for keeping a dog, in violation of his lease and building rules. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed and lost. Tenant adopted a 65-pound dog and openly walked it at least three times a day in plain view of the building's 24-hour doorman and other employees. Landlord didn't take action until more than three months later. So landlord waived its right to object to tenant's dog.
