Infant Didn't Get Lead Poisoning While Landlord Owned Building

LVT Number: 16443

Tenant sued landlord, claiming her child was injured by lead paint exposure in their apartment. The court ruled against tenant and dismissed the case after a trial. Tenant appealed and lost. The child received only one blood test during the period that tenant lived in the apartment and landlord owned the building. This test didn't show lead injury. The blood test showing lead injury was taken at least a year after landlord sold the building. In the meantime, tenant had moved out of the building and back into another apartment in the building six months later.
