Tenants Must Provide Access to Landlord's Engineer

Landlord sued to evict tenants for blocking the entrance to their apartment in violation of law while remodeling their apartment. Landlord asked the court for permission to inspect the apartment to determine the extent of tenants' remodeling or to have the apartment inspected by HPD. The court ruled for landlord, ordering tenants to provide access to landlord's engineer.

Although tenants submitted renovation plans to landlord, the extent of the actual renovations were known only to tenants and landlord was entitled to see what had been done.
