Tenants Claim They Didn't Get Copy of Lease

LVT Number: 12241

Landlord sued to evict tenants for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord, and tenants appealed, claiming that landlord refused to give them a copy of their lease. The appeals court ruled against tenants. Whether tenants received a copy of their lease wasn't a defense to not paying rent for the period tenants were in the apartment. Tenants also didn't prove that they gave landlord two months' security deposit.
