Tenants Claim Security Guards Followed Them

LVT Number: 10985

Tenants' association sued landlord's security guards and sought injunctions barring the guards from going near them or interfering with tenant association activities. Three tenants' association members claimed that they were harassed by guards. The guards claimed they merely observed tenants, who were accused by landlord of prior acts of sabotage at the building. The court ruled against tenants. Tenants didn't show that landlord used bad business judgment, threatened tenants' well-being or interfered with their right to organize.
