Tenant Slipped and Fell on Snow

LVT Number: 16441

Tenant sued landlord for negligence after she slipped and fell outside a building. Landlord asked the court to dismiss the case without a trial. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Snow and sleet began falling an hour or so before tenant slipped. She claimed there was oil on the ground where she slipped, but there was no proof of this. There was only proof that it had recently started snowing, and it appeared that tenant slipped in the snow.
