Tenant Signed One-Year Lease

Tenant complained that landlord didn't offer her the option of a two-year vacancy lease. The DRA ruled against tenant, and she appealed. Tenant signed a one-year vacancy lease when she moved into the apartment. Tenant claimed that she had asked landlord for a two-year vacancy lease, but at the same rent charged for a one-year lease. The DHCR again ruled against tenant. Tenant signed the vacancy lease, showing her agreement to a one-year term. And landlord charged tenant the proper rent increase for a one-year vacancy lease.
