Tenant’s legal guardian sought to delay an eviction warrant against tenant. The court ruled against the guardian and authorized tenant’s relocation to a shelter. Tenant appealed and lost. The guardian had trouble finding alternative housing due to tenant’s age and financial situation. Tenant also had been uncooperative with relocation efforts.

Tenant’s legal guardian sought to delay an eviction warrant against tenant. The court ruled against the guardian and authorized tenant’s relocation to a shelter. Tenant appealed and lost. The guardian had trouble finding alternative housing due to tenant’s age and financial situation. Tenant also had been uncooperative with relocation efforts. The lower court did what it could, appointing Mental Health Legal Services to assist, and by directing the guardian to take care of tenant’s health needs while she was in the shelter and to continue to look for suitable alternative housing.
