Tenant Paid Back Rent

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord. Judgment was entered against tenant for back rent of over $2,000. Tenant paid the back rent before the eviction warrant was executed. Landlord still sought to evict tenant. Tenant asked the court to stop the eviction. The court and appeals court ruled for tenant. Since tenant paid the back rent, execution of the eviction warrant was permanently delayed.
