Tenant Murdered in Building

LVT Number: 12659

Tenant's mother sued landlord and building security company for negligence after tenant was murdered in landlord's building. Landlord and the security company asked the court to dismiss the case without a trial. The court ruled for landlord and dismissed the case. Tenant's mother appealed and lost. No one was ever arrested for the murder and there was no proof showing who the attacker was or how he'd gotten into the building. So tenant's mother couldn't prove that the attacker was an intruder who gained entry to the building due to the negligence of landlord or the security company.
