Tenant Misrepresents Household Income

HPD terminated tenant's program-based Section 8 housing subsidy. HPD found that tenant misrepresented his adult son's employment status and the overall household income in tenant's 2006 recertification application. Tenant appealed HPD's decision, claiming that it was unreasonable. The court ruled against tenant. Substantial evidence supported HPD's decision to terminate tenant's subsidy for violation of Section 8 regulations governing the voucher assistance program for low-income housing. The penalty wasn't unfair.
