Tenant Installs Rooftop Antenna

LVT Number: 9478

Landlord asked the DHCR whether it must continue to allow tenant to use his own rooftop antenna. In an opinion letter, the DHCR said ''yes.'' Landlord had already let tenant install the antenna on the roof, and hadn't objected to it within a reasonable time, so the antenna became a required service. But landlord could restrict the position of the antenna if it violated the Housing Maintenance Code, Building Code, or other laws.
