Tenant Gets 35 Percent Rent Cut for Mold Condition

Landlord sought eviction when tenant failed to pay. Tenant asked the court to vacate the agreement based on apartment conditions. HPD had issued violations, and the court directed landlord to make repairs. There was mold in the apartment. Repairs were not performed until months later.
