Tenant Evicted for Nonpayment

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Tenant defaulted, and the court ruled for landlord. Tenant later asked the court to vacate the judgment for possession and $13,000 rent arrears. The trial court refused, and tenant appealed. The appeals court also refused to vacate the judgment. Tenant had no defense for nonpayment, hadn't paid the arrears, and was unable to pay. And, tenant didn't comply with a number of court orders issued to delay the eviction.
