Tenant Claims DSS Paid Rent Due

LVT Number: 10236

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord, and tenant was evicted. Tenant then claimed that DSS had already paid the rent due and landlord evicted her anyway. The court ruled against tenant. DSS paid tenant $4,500, but tenant took $2,000 of the money for her own personal use and not for the rent. So there was no reason to restore her to the apartment.
