Tenant Can't Vacate Settlement Agreement

Landlord sued to evict tenant. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in housing court, by which tenant agreed to pay rent arrears. Tenant later asked the court to vacate the agreement. The court refused, and tenant appealed. Tenant's appeal was dismissed. Tenant didn't make payments under the agreement and subsequent court orders. Arrears had accumulated to approximately $3,500. Also, when tenant failed to pay, landlord evicted him and re-rented the apartment.
