Tenant Can't Delay Eviction Warrant

LVT Number: 8378

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The trial court ruled for landlord, but delayed eviction to give tenant a chance to pay past-due rent. Tenant didn't do so and asked the court for a further stay of the eviction warrant. The court ruled against tenant, and tenant appealed. The appeals court also ruled against tenant. Tenant owed substantial past-due rent, and landlord was a not-for-profit tenants' association.
