Tenant Banged on Walls and Pipes

LVT Number: 16831

Landlord sued to evict tenant for creating a nuisance. The court ruled for landlord after a trial. Tenant appealed and lost. Landlord proved that tenant made unbearable noise on a regular basis by repeatedly banging on the walls and pipes of his apartment at all hours. This substantially interfered with his neighbors' comfort and enjoyment of their apartments. Landlord's building employees and other tenants all testified believably that tenant's behavior had continued over a period of years.
