Storage Space Adequate

LVT Number: 12843

Tenant complained of a reduction in services, claiming that landlord had reduced basement storage space for tenants. The DRA ruled against tenant, and tenant appealed. Tenant claimed that landlord had reconfigured the storage space so tenants could share it with co-op owners in the building. Each tenant was now allotted 23 cubic feet. Tenant claimed that, if all tenants used their allocated space, there wouldn't be sufficient storage space for everyone. The DHCR ruled against tenant.

Tenant didn't complain that the reconfigured storage space prevented her from storing her belongings or that it had caused her to remove any part of her belongings previously stored. So there was no reason at the present time for tenant's complaint.
