Slip and Fall on Icy Sidewalk

Pedestrian sued landlord for negligence after she slipped and fell on snow and ice on the sidewalk in front of landlord's building. Landlord asked the court to dismiss the case without a trial. The court ruled for landlord and pedestrian appealed. The appeals court ruled for pedestrian. A trial was needed to decide whether landlord's staff adequately salted and sanded the path they had attempted to clear along the sidewalk the day before the accident.
