Slightly Discolored Tiles

LVT Number: 13584

Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced his rent. Landlord later applied to restore the rent based on restoration of services. The DRA ruled for landlord, and tenant appealed, claiming that wood tiles in the dining room were damaged by floods and wear and tear. The DHCR ruled against tenant. A DHCR inspection showed that landlord had repaired broken tiles, as directed. Some remaining, slightly discolored tiles didn't warrant a rent reduction.
