LVT Number: 11009

Landlord sued to evict tenant for illegal subletting. Tenant claimed that landlord's petition was improperly served because it was left on tenant's door on a Saturday. Tenant asked the court to dismiss the case. The court ruled against tenant. Landlord had previously attempted service twice, once after conventional working hours and once during working hours during the week. Landlord's process server was again attempting to make service during nonworking hours when he attempted service on Saturday.
