Replaced Tiles Weren't the Same Color

LVT Number: #22770

Rent-stabilized tenant complained of a reduction in services based on missing bathroom wall tiles. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced his rent. Landlord later sought rent restoration based on the restoration of services. The DRA ruled against landlord because the missing tiles were replaced with different color tiles. Landlord appealed and lost. Landlord claimed that any difference in the tile color was minor. But the old tiles were dark pink and the new tiles were a lighter shade of pink.

The color difference was significant and showed that the tile replacement was done in an unworkmanlike manner.
