Rent Demand Not Defective

LVT Number: 9377

(Decision submitted by Michael R. Cohen of the Manhattan law firm of Kucker Kraus & Bruh, attorneys for the landlord.) Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Tenant asked the court to dismiss the case, claiming that the rent demand was defective because it listed an incomplete address for the managing agent. The court ruled for landlord. The word ''Flushing'' was missing from the address. But the omission wasn't important because the managing agent's address was clearly within New York City. And the rent demand was otherwise proper.
