Registration Statement Didn't List In-City Managing Agent

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Tenant claimed that landlord couldn't collect rent owed because his multiple dwelling registration statement was defective. The managing agent listed on the registration statement lived outside New York City. The Multiple Dwelling Law requires registration of an in-city managing agent. The court ruled against tenant. Landlord was entitled to correct this defect in the multiple dwelling registration. The court didn't have to dismiss the case because of this defect in landlord's registration.
