Public Housing Tenant Let Undeclared Husband Live in Apartment

Landlord sued to evict tenant from HUD-subsidized housing for violating her lease. Landlord claimed that tenant failed to inform landlord at an income recertification meeting that her husband was living in the apartment. Landlord argued that tenant illegally allowed the husband to live in the apartment as an unauthorized person, in violation of her lease and HUD regulations. The court ruled for landlord. Landlord produced an activity log and video tapes showing every entry into the residence.

Police reports also showed domestic disputes between tenant and her husband. These reports listed the husband's address as tenant's apartment. The court granted judgment of possession to landlord and issued an eviction warrant.
