Pointing Work Qualifies

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on pointing work and waterproofing costing $45,000. The DRA granted landlord's application, and tenants appealed. Among other things, tenants claimed the work wasn't complete enough. The DHCR dismissed tenants' appeal. Landlord had pointed 46,000 square feet of brickwork. Landlord's contractor stated that the building was examined prior to doing the work and that all necessary work was performed.
